Darlings, You Simply Will Not Believe It!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! "Doctor Zhivago" Turns 60 This Year!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

On the very last day of 1965--December 31--"Doctor Zhivago" was released, and the world has never been the same since.

Oh, my God, this was the movie that made us swoon, with Maurice Jarre's lush, romantic score.  It made us all want to look like Julie Christie--I mean, who wouldn't? --and on cold days I still bundle up to my eyes to get that distinctive, enigmatic look, when Julie as Lara is first seen on the screen.

The poetry of a snow-covered estate, Klaus Kinski on the train ride, the mother carrying the dead child--these are just some of the film's most impressive sequences.

I would like to see this film on screen this year, and prays it gets a showing.

May there always be "blossoms in green and gold!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!"

Yes, a masterpiece for sure!!
Was disgusting to hear what a nightmare Klaus was to work with, plus being (allegedly) an abusive monster to his daughter.

Victoria, A gorgeous romantic film, indeed. Yes, Klaus was a nightmare to work with; I am sure his daughter still deals with problems he caused her.
