Justice For Kitty, At Last!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

                                On March 28, just several days ago, Winston Moseley passed away, in prison, at the age of 81. That I am writing of yet another death on here--I have got to get some more cheerful posts going, darlings, and I promise--is sad, though the death of Moseley is a relief to many, though his name may be less known to readers than his victim.

                                    He was the killer of Kitty Genovese.

                                    Both their lives, and the culture around us, was changed by their interaction on the night of March 13, 1964.  Kitty died a tragic death as a lesbian who could not yet be acknowledged, and came to symbolize, for me, the horror of Queens--something I still share--and the apathy and lack of social consciousness, which is still at large.  I don't care how it sounds; this would still happen today!!!!!!!!!!!!

                                     The story of Kitty has been both mythologized and demythologized, but the bare bones of the facts speak for themselves--that night, Moseley, a father of two, was hunting for someone to kill.  Around 3:15AM, he spotted Kitty, coming home from the job she had--managing a bar in Hollis.  He saw her, attacked her, and left her in the stairwell of her building, only to return, finish the job, stabbing and rape her.

                                       Nice, huh?

                                        Whether there were or weren't thirty eight witnesses, someone saw and heard something--and did nothing.  Kitty lives on as a testament to selfish apathy.

                                           Now, Winston joins her in death.  Will they confront one another?  Will she forgive him??????????

                                             Or will the heat from where he is headed melt him down to nothing?

                                              Kitty now has the justice she should have had, from the start!!!!!!!!!!!
