Let's Have Some Fun, Girls, Discussing Baby Gojira's Cheesy Movie Pick This Week!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hopefully, soon Baby will get away from this ABC-TV 70's phase he seems to be in.  The film's colors are fading, the actors in them are virtually nonexistent, and some of them should be returned to the film vaults for good.

But not before getting a look at Gloria Swanson in "Killer Bees."  Now, the ad says this was her TV debut.  But does that take into account her guest appearances on "The Carol Burnett Show," appearing in the "Sunset Boulevard" parody sketches??????????????

Let's get to the point.  Gloria and the bees are the best actors in the film.  Edward Albert, Jr. does not disguise the fact that he is doing this just for pay, and Kate Jackson once more begs the question of how she got anywhere as an actress.  Or a non-actress I would say.

But, darlings, once she and Gloria lock eyes, there is no question that Gloria is going to kick off, with Kate becoming the new Bee Queen.  I could see this coming a mile away. And if she and hubby Edward have children, and one turns out to be a daughter, well, you know what future is in store for her.

I loved the shots of the bees covering the miniature house.  They look so cute and loving.  But only if you are a Bee Queen.

Queens of all type will enjoy this, darlings!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

But please, Baby, find some more 50's films, please????????????????????

Love love LOVE this film, one of my all time favorite ABC TVMOTW. Gloria gave it her all, tho ABC PR was a bit coy with the "tv debut" bit. It was her debut in a ABC movie-of-the-week, but she was a TV staple in the 50s and 60s in various teleplay dramas and guesting in an assortment of unlikely sitcoms ("The Lucy Show" and "My Three Sons" one could maybe understand, but "The Beverly Hillbillies"? Yikes!).

You've been much too harsh on poor Kate Jackson these last few weeks. She was what she was: an iconic presence who left an indelible impression in several camp classics. Not everyone can or should equal Meryl Streep: we must leave room for the Kate Jacksons, Mink Stoles and Tura Satanas as well. And honestly, who else could have played the bewildered spouse in "Making Love", smashing that stack of dishes with a straight face?

Paraphrasing a compatriot,

"Leave Kate Jackson alone! Just leave her ALONE!"

My Dear, Of course not everyone can or is MERYL. I happen to love Mink Stole and the divine Edith Massey! As for Kate, I guess I have said enough, though I would like to see her in "Making Love." I remember what a big deal it was when it came out, and I am curious. I missed it first time out. And Kate I recall did get good notices for it. Baby is due to leave ABC TV Land soon, so the movies will be more vintage!
