Girls, I am telling you, that time is here again. This year, however, things will be a little sped up, because I will in the city from Saturday till about midweek. I will not be on here to celebrate my birthday, so everything will have to be posted, prior.
But let us start with today. Once again, we celebrate the legend of Sammy Williams, who originated the role of Paul, in "A Chorus Line," and won a TONY for it. No one did the monologue as spot on as Sammy.
Today is his birthday--he is our first Musical Theater Week celebrity--and he would have been 76 today. He left us too soon, on March 17, 2018. Rest In Peace, Sammy, you left an incredible legacy behind, and it is fitting you are the first one celebrated on here, during Musical Theater Week.
Here is Sammy in his original, signature role, in the original production.Never to be forgotten, darlings!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
And....Happy Musical Theater Week!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
