Here it is, in all its glory, in a museum in St. Louis, and as soon as I find out the name of the museum, I will let you know, before taking off to view this, myself.
This is the dress Garland wore in the film's iconic Christmas scene, where she dances with Tom Drake, then sings "Have Yourself A Merry Little Christmas" to Margaret O'Brien, right before the latter does the most incredible display of child acting ever captured on film.
Darlings, I am getting goose bumps just looking at it. Imagine wearing it!!!!!!!!!!!!
This dress, like all the costumes in the film, were designed by Irene Sharaff.
Too bad she did not have a store of her own in New York!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
