Darlings, today is the one day of the year I allow myself to eat pancakes. And then I have to go to the endocrinologist this Thursday. God, help me!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Yes, it is finally Shrove Tuesday, because the Lenten Season, culminating in Easter, (with the annual screening of "The Song Of Bernadette") even though things are a little late this year. Nevertheless, I want to wish a Happy Shrove Tuesday to all, and however you choose to celebrate it, make sure to do so.
I just love that word "Shrove." It always makes me feel good. And it gives Tuesday--usually the most ignored day of the week--some validity.
So, a Happy Shrove Tuesday to all, and make the most of those luscious goodies!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I agree, the word “Shrove” comforts us, with its promise of forgiveness of sin, cleansing of unrighteousness,
Victoria, I wish the word were used often, but then it might lose its being special.
