Like the song says, "It's A Great Day For The Irish!"
It is a quiet day for this Irishman. I think of the relatives who have passed. I recall that every year on this day, growing up, we would go over to my paternal grandmother's house for a corned beef and cabbage dinner. It took me a long time to get to like it, but now I do. Though, it is such a heavy meal, so we only have it once a year.
Ah, the days of yore, When John Ford's "The Quiet Man" or "The Informer," would be shown annually on TV. Both films may still turn up, but in these so-called modern times, I feel they have gone by the wayside.
Nevertheless, however you celebrate this day, whether you are Irish or not, I wish you the best!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
How I wish for a glass of Bailey's!!!!!!!!!!! Have one for me, girls!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

hope you and David had a lovely day!!
As children we took those holiday traditions for granted, we even Complained sometimes, that the elderly relatives’ houses were boring.
What I wouldn’t give, to return to those simpler times!!
Victoria, Me, too. I sometimes return to them in my dreams.
