Every house that is a brothel in New Orleans claims to be "The House Of The Rising Sun." But who knew there was something similar in Cape May, New Jersey????????????
On our trip their last weekend, David and I took the trolley tour. We have taken it before, but I don't recall this being mentioned, or maybe I did not pay attention initially.
The guide said that one of the third-floor houses in Cape May--I cannot be sure this is the one, though it has three floors--was known as "The House Of Evening Delights," when the sun went down. I wonder what delights were offered on the third floor. I certainly hope there was something for everyone!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Which led me to an idea. To explore this history of prostitution in Cape May. Oh, it existed, darlings!!!!!!!!!!! It IS the world's oldest profession!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I can't say I have it in me to work on such a project, but I hope someone out there does. I can't wait to read it.
Meanwhile who is partaking of those "evening delights???????????"

or Ghost Tour I think it’s called
Victoria, No, though perhaps it should have been. This was during the day on the trolley tour. We have never stayed overnight to partake of the Ghost Tour.
Rates are too expensive for us!!!!!!!!! Unless we can find a bed and breakfast.
