Dolls, I am telling you, this is the best photo of Carly Simon, ever! How I would love to look like that. Hell, I never even had the chance, even when I was the age Carly was when this was shot.
Every so often I get on a Carly Simon kick, and I am on one now. Maybe it is because I am having an MRI tomorrow. At 10:50 AM, and in Manhattan. I'd rather listen to and imagine myself as Carly looking like this, than any MRI.
I will go. It is the right thing to do, and I am proactive about myself.
But wouldn't it be more fun, looking like Carly with that hair, dress, and smile?
Keep on imagining, girls!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Carly's 1974 classic, "Haven't Got Time For The Pain" is featured here, for you to enjoy.
Oh, girls, "All those crazy nights, when we cried ourselves to sleep!!!!!!!!!!!"

Oh dear good luck with the MRI, I have never had one but I hear it is not at all painful!!
I love that song and I sing it often, the chorus anyway.
It’s kind of an anthem for life.
Victoria, I love singing Carly's songs. I can sing in key with her, so our voices would be good for blending. She has such a body of work to choose from, it is hard to pick a favorite. Did you know she went to Juilliard?
My guilty pleasure is her version of "You Belong To Me", from her album "Boys In The Trees". Michael McDonald wrote it for her, then did his own version with The Doobie Bros. The two interpretations are very very different in ways you wouldn't expect: I enjoy both depending on my mood and who I'm thinking about. Proto Taylor Swift material: wonder if she ever heard the song?
