Kiss Kiss, Darlings!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Girls, I am telling you, it was an evening I certainly was not prepared for!  There I was, and Monsieur too, kicking back after dinner, settling in to watch the new season of "Rizzoli and Isles." And how smart that, just before the premiere, they broadcast the episode that closed out last season, to bring viewers up to speed, not to mention a few flashback scenes in the opening episode, in case viewers could not watch the repeat broadcast.

                                        But, oh my God!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Lorraine, as Angela, was still making pancakes, but Jane and Maura on the skids????  This was so sad, because their friendship is what is loved most about the show.  And I have the idea that down the line it will resume, better than ever, because neither they or audiences could tolerate this indefinitely.  I must say it made for some drama, shifting a lot of the action to Maura, who generally does not get as much air play and story exposure as Rizzoli.  But, what with her mobster dad, Paddy Doyle, her adopted mother, played by a still glamorous Jacqueline Bissett, Sasha Alexander stepped into the center circle as the show's focal dramatic point.  And more is being revealed about her biological mother, who, apparently, was a brilliant Harvard student (from whom Maura got her brains!) whose romance with Paddy ended on some tragic note, yet to be revealed.

And, honeys, Angie Harmon made for one funny hooker! She brilliantly played that scene so tongue-in-cheek (no pun intended, loves!!!!!!!).   It helped bring levity to last night's story; and hope was thrown out for the friendship when, on discovering Jane and her force were being investigated for being allegedly "dirty cops," Maura automatically spoke up, "Jane isn't dirty," she said. Yes, darlings, those two girls still care about one another, and while this is certainly no "Well Of Loneliness," it is an indicator that sooner or later Jane and Maura will be closer than ever!!!!!!!!!  At least I hope so.

And I hope Maura realizes she can do better with men than Tommy Rizzoli, and Jane can fare much better than that Gabriel guy.  Come on, he doesn't even have nice hair, and if it is one thing Jane Rizzoli, in the person of Angie Harmon needs, it is a guy who has hair as nice as she!!!!!!

Fashion????????  Did I say fashion????????   Much as I would like to discuss that, there was too much drama last night to pay full attention to what was being worn, save for Angie's/Jane's ultra funny hooker outfit!  She was no Fantine, darlings!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

So, the new season of this show is off and running!  Now, if only its two
principles would kiss and make up.

But they will!!!!!!!!!!  Remember Lucy and Ethel??????????
