Oh, My God, Girls!!!!!! Mike D. and Jimmy G.!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Darlings, remember "Lost Traveler," one of last season's better 'SVU' episodes???  That was the one based on the Leiby Kletzky case, coming up on its nearly one year anniversary.  Where it was not the Hasidim community, but the Romanies (Gypsies)?  Where a slow witted man living with his mother (standin for Levi Aron!!!!) was framed, to the point of being set on fire, but not killed????  And where two teenage girls, Courtney and Emma, at Nico's (stand-in for Leiby) private school, turned out to be the culprits????  While framing and getting retard Mark to cooperate with them by (I know this is gross, darlings, but is what happened) giving him hand jobs to keep him quiet?  And which ends, with the more sociopathic Courtney, after Emma has been hauled off, and asked by Olivia Benson, why they did it, replying, with chilling detachment, "Why not?"

Now, I own "Uncivilized", from the first season, on DVD.  I had not looked at in ages, so when USA ran it on their marathon Sunday, about halfway through it, I realized--

It is the same story as "Lost Traveler."

Consider.  Ryan Davies, eight-  years- old, is found raped and murdered, his body hidden in a public park.  Everyone feels a sex offender did it, and before you know it, Stephen Bogardus (in a wonderful performance) is being framed for the deed.   But a little girl at Ryan's school says two older boys--Mike D. and Jimmy G.--know a lot about what is going on, and they keep turning up to help.  Just like Courtney and Emma.  Bogardus is practically hung out to dry by the justice system, let alone his neighborhood, but his attorney, played by the wonderful Jessica Hecht, wins him his freedom, but before he can get home, Mr. Davies, Ryan's father, accosts and shoots him on the court steps.  Now, we have him going to jail for murder, and will he be pissed when he finds he killed the wrong guy!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Because it is Mike D. and Jimmy G!  There is a little bit of Leopold and Loeb thrown in here.  Both have lived in the neighborhood all their lives, been friends since sandbox days.  Jimmy G. seems borderline retarded himself, but Mike D. is smart enough to win a scholarship to a fancy New York City private school.  But, as Jimmy G. says, "he came back to me," so what does that tell you about their relationship???? Codependency, and a touch of homosexuality, if only emotionally.  Mike relates how he and Jimmy happened onto a sex offender website, discovered Mr. Turbin (Bogardus) and began razzing him.  Jimmy became obsessed, and took it up a notch, wanting to abduct a kid, and frame Turbin.  Mike did not think him serious, till they saw Ryan around one day, and sequestered him to the park, where he put up such a fight he had to be held down and choked with a bike chain, to keep quiet.  While Jimmy G.  (who insists,"I am not gay!" Yeah, right!!!!) rapes him!!!!! Nice huh????  Then Ryan is just laying there and...."Duh....Geez!....Boo Hoo!....What do we do now?....It was an accident!"  Accident, my aunt Fanny!!!!
Throw these scum in jail!!!!!.  There goes Mike D'.'s private school, Ivy League future!!!!!  But not before the episode ends with the chilling image and statement from Jimmy G., who, in perfect counterpart to Courtney's "Why not?" says, "Kid was a loser, anyway!"  Is that right, Jimmy G.???? Well, Ryan may be gone, but now you will find out what it is like to be a loser yourself, and have the Big Boys plow you!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Can you believe it???? Teen boys in one; girls in another.  A slow witted sex offender, and a mentally challenged, sexually inexperienced man-child.  Both male children killed and, to some degree in each, assaulted sexually.  And these episodes are twelve years apart?????

I wonder if, in in recreating the Kletzky case, someone had the idea of recycling this earlier episode?????   The similarities would strike anyone who saw these episodes.  As one viewer quipped, "Do you have to be a sociopathic teenage girl to be a perp on 'SVU?'"  No, darling, you just have to be your basic, garden variety sociopath.

Maybe that is why I sometimes switch over now to Investigation Discovery!!!!!!!!!!!"
