If This Place Wants To Keep Going, They Need To Get Their Act Together!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
After all the thrilling things I had heard about Buttermilk Channel--especially the fried chicken dish--I was expecting the Second Coming. This is where our group assembled last night, to celebrate the birthday of our elegant friend, Chris.
Now, the food was scrumptious, if a little overdone. I thought the fried was more emphasized than the chicken, though the meet was tender. But Monsieur said it did not agree with him. Too much fried. And in this weather.
The deserts--butterscotch panna cotttas and pecan parfaits--were rich and flavorful, too. A good time was had by all, but I would not go back here, girls, because, the food was not that spectacular--I wonder if Paula Deen would approve--and the service is not...serviceable.
Not that anyone is nasty; not by a long shot. But they have got to enlarge, because the kitchen is too small to manage all the orders they receive, which is why ours took so long. And the deserts. Ice cream and custard???? How long does that take?
Plus there is only one--ONE--bathroom--in the entire place. That is never going to do. What if you get a geriatric coot with prostate problems, or some drag queen or tranny bitch with menstrual cramps? Honey, I am telling you, the staff will not want to mess with these types when they get angry, because they cannot get in the bathroom!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
This place needs to move to a larger venue. Or expand, and add on to what it has, to meet the demands of its clientele!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Meanwhile, I hope Cathy Mitchell thinks of opening a restaurant. She could call it the Dump Dish Diner!!!!!!!! Or Dine N' Dump!!!!!!!!!!! It would quick become the latest rage in town!!!!!!!!!!!
Chris' birthday is always worth celebrating. But at someplace, like Harry Cipriani's!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
