"In an April dream, Once you came to me...... --"The April Fools" Theme Song, by Burt Bacharach and Hal David
April is here, darlings, and as T. S. Eliot says, it is the cruelest month, and with me the point hits home. Tomorrow, as David and I prepare to see whatever Beanie Feldstein can make out of "Funny Girl," I never forget it is the 43rd Anniversary of my mother's death. My sister's husband died a few days later, but around 2007. My maternal grandmother died the year before my mother, in 1978, on April 22. Enough? I think so. Our family, understandably has ambivalent feelings about April.
Oh, and my father's birthday is April 30, and on that day in 2017, my childhood friend passed away.
So, I have issues with April!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Now, April is also Easter, "The Song Of Bernadette," the Feast Day Of St. Bernadette, (the REAL one, not Jennifer Jones!!!!!!!!!!) and on April 7, this blog will celebrate its 15th Anniversary!!!!!!!!!!!! So, stay tuned for that, dolls!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Then, there are those pesky April showers. I can only advise those out there to be cautious. April can be a beautiful month, but can also sting!
Why this month above all others? I mean, on the 24th, BARBRA turns 80!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Can you believe it, darlings?????????????????????????

Yes, lots of birthdays and “deathdays” for us as well.
Anniversaries too.
And of course some anniversaries of events you’d rather forget
