Guess What Celia Is Doing Next, Girls???????????????

Ever since "The Glass Menagerie" closed last September 23, people have been asking me what is up next for Celia Keenan-Bolger?  I have been wondering the same thing myself, and, now that she is officially a TONY Nominee (which I expected she would be!!!!!!!!!) for  her heart rending portrayal of Laura in the Tennessee Williams' classic, it is, like, impossible to get a luncheon date with her. I mean, come on!!!!!!!!  Celia has to party with all those TONY voters, even though we all know she is going to win. She is too brilliant, not to!

However, there is some news. In next week's episode of "Law And Order SVU," entitled "Reasonable Doubt," Celia plays a woman named Mavis Summers.

From what I gather, the story goes something like this--show biz honcho Frank Maddox, played by Emmy winning actor Bradley Whitford, is being accused of molesting his young daughter, Chelsea Summers-Maddox (played by Clare Foley). Her mother, Catherine Summers, played by Law And Order favorite Samantha Mathias (who brilliantly played Jacqueline Bisset's drug addicted daughter Hilary Barclay, and Austin Pendelton got his johnson lopped off, in the 2003 episdode, "Control," wherein he played obsessed bridal sex fetishist Horace Gorman!!!!!!!!!) will not talk to Special Victims, but will talk to anyone out in media land, about the accusation, including Ann Curry..  It appears Celia plays Catherine's sister, Mavis.  And she will have a telling role in the proceedings. What adds fuel to the fire is Frank is engaged to yet another Summers sister, Rose. So, what is the deal here?  We will find out!!!!!!!!!!!

But, girls, I cannot wait to see Celia. She is doing the right career thing by being seen on this program next, and I can guarantee her scene will be most telling.  It is  also a credit that 'SVU' is having a guest of her caliber on, because this season has been too lacking in exciting guest stars. Once Celia appears, everyone will want to be on 'SVU'--will cute brother, Andrew, follow????????--and the show could once more raise itself to the dramatic hallmark it once was.

Looking forward to seeing you, Celia, next week! And when you pick up that TONY Award!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
