Speaking Of Bitches, How About That Little Mia Toscano???????????????

I just found out that last night's 'SVU' episode was entitled "In Loco Parentis," which is very interesting, because all through this episode, I kept asking myself, "What is wrong with these parents."

That the victim in question was Carisi's niece (wonderfully played by Ryann Shane) promised some potential interest, and offered the underused and underrated Peter Scanavino a chance to shine in his role.  This promise was delivered, and he even--oh, my God!  Can you believe it????--got the last shot?  Not Olivia--thank God!--but Carisi!!!!!!!!!!!!

But that Mia!  I'm sorry; I am one who has compassion for all victims of rape and child abuse, but when it is revealed that, first time out, she lied, I thought, "Girl, what is wrong with you?"  More to the point, what is wrong with her mother?  I happen to love all things Italian, but Rachel Ray Jones' performance as Teresa Carisi was no Victoria Gotti or Donatella Versace!!!!!!!!!  She was like Ellen Barkin--straight outta Queens!!!!!!!!!!  Trash!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

She also came off like an hypocrite, whose sexual behavior rivals that of an alley cat, let alone the bad boys, like Mia's father, with whom she hung out one too many times, so, of course, the daughter is messed up.  I could care less about Ethan--more on that, later--but neither of these kids were angels to begin with.  Mia should have locked in a convent, and Ethan sent to a school, where the boys are given massive doses of salt peter.

Now, Ethan is more typical.  Child of entitlement, he is going to be a doctor, though he doesn't look like he could pass a course in geometry, but his parents, who don't care if he has indiscriminate sex with girls, or ruins their lives--which indicates his mother is controlled by her controlling spouse, as she has no self-respect for herself, or her own sex--approve of whatever he does because he is THEIR son!  Fuck you; then why didn't you raise him right?  His raping Mia the second time was as dumb as her lying about it the first time out!  And having him come to her bedroom twice!  Mia, hon, if you wanted to make things right, I get it, but why not meet Ethan in a public space, like the library or the cafeteria?  Then the rape would not have happened.

I am sorry; kids do dumb things, which is what youth is for, but I cannot recall, in my youth, anyone as dumb as either Ethan or Mia.  Being over 18, they are responsible for their own actions, but, had the parents given more guidance during their upbringing, this dumb story would never have happened.

Mia and Ethan's parents are as much to be blamed for being dumb, as their children are!

That apple does not fall far, darlings!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
