There Is Nothing I Love More Than A Bitch, With An Ax To Grind!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Girls, I am telling you, you have got to see the 1997 "Law And Order" episode, "Legacy," (not to be confused with episodes with the same title, but different plots on 'SVU' and 'Criminal Intent') where Frances Sternhagen has as much fun playing Estelle Muller, the winner of this week's Raving Queen Bitch Of The Week Award as Sarah Paulson did, playing sociopath socialite Anne Gillette.  I love them both!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Estelle is from the New York upper crust.  Her son, Rick, married this social climbing tramp named Robin, who just wanted to get her foot in the door.  Now, Rick had this friend, Jim Shepard, whom he had known since college, and Jim became a social fixture with he and Robin.  And Robin did not object.

One day the men were out for some guy outing, in the park, supposedly rock climbing, when, supposedly, Rick too a 30 foot plunge to rocky ground below.  The case was labeled an accidental death, but try telling that to an aggrieved, aristocratic mother.  So, Estelle with all the fury of her mother love for her son, goes out to hire a hit man to kill Jim Shepard, whom Robin just happened to marry a mere seven months, after Rick's death..

Well, they exhume Rick's body, and it turns out Mama was right. An autopsy revealed he had been bashed in the head with a baseball bat, before taking that plunge.  Rick had been jealous of Jim in every way; he wanted everything his friend had--including his friend;s wife. Robin is left with egg on her face, and no man, but, hell, she'll find one soon enough.

This had one of the best closing lines in history, when Sam Waterson says, of Robin, "It's sad  to think you married your own stalker."

So, kudos to Estelle, this cool Granny On Ice, who had Jim's number from the start, and set out to make things right. Don't mess with this bitch; keep her on your side!!!!!!!!!!!!!  I would have done the same, thing.

But, then, I have no axes to grind.

                                                             Heh! Heh! Heh!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
