Two More Days, Girls, Till The Annual Screening Of "The Song Of Bernadette!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!"

I hope those of you who can will join us for this special event. Made extra special by a celebratory anniversary--this year, "The Song Of Bernadette" turns 80!  And it still holds up.

Jennifer Jones' stun-the-world performance, Arthur Miller's cinematography (black and white) and Alfred Newman's music score were three of the five Oscars honored this production, the most honored of 1943.

Gladys Cooper and Anne Revere were up against each other as Best Supporting Actress for their roles here.  And Charles Bickford earned an Oscar nomination for this film, as well.

A screen masterpiece, and wait till you see the dramatic scene when Ermadean Walters runs through the village, and then Anne Revere with her.

The screening starts at one, so if you can, darlings, join us!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Another year, another viewing of 'Bernadette!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!'

superb. I own the DVD and consider it one of my favorites.
