Bet Debra Isn't Too Proud Over This Sick Cuz!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

This week's Bitch Of The Week, Mark Winger, carries a celebrity pedigree. According to sources, he is first cousin to actress Debra Winger. And I am sure she tries to distance herself from this association, as much as possible.  I don't blame her one bit.

What's interesting is I just learned about Mark at the same time Debra is appearing on Broadway, with Patti Lu Pone, in a non-musical play called "The Anarchist."  I have not seen it, yet, but with such a powerhouse cast, I would not want to miss it.  In the play, Patti plays a woman who has been convicted for Life on a murder charge, and is up for parole. Debra is the hearer, who must decide whether or not she is given parole.

Ironic, because Mark Winger is imprisoned for Life, too.  Only, he isn't going anywhere, honey!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Doesn't he look the picture of scumbag arrogance?????? Well, he is!!!!!!  He is intelligent--he was a nuclear technician, and had served in the military, but his enormous hubris, got in the way.  Back in 1988, Mark married Donnah Brown, and they settled down in Springfield, Illinois. For about fourteen years, they seemed to be the perfect couple--happy, adored by all.  I am telling you, girls, it is those perfect ones you have to watch out for!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Donnah had some brains, herself; she was a surgical nurse, at a nearby hospital. The only cloud on their horizon was their inability to conceive a child; both wanted children badly.  The fault, it turned out, was Donnah's, whose uterus had some kind of malfunction which did not allow her to conceive.  And could not be repaired in any way.

That is when things began going downhill for the couple, though, Donnah, had no idea.  It was all according to Mark's perception, because, as you may have guessed by now, girls, it was All About Mark!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!   He began an extramarital affair with Donnah's coworker, and best friend, De Ann Schultz.  But De Ann, after several months, backed off, seeing what Donnah could not--that Mark was not all that he seemed.  Especially when he talked to her about getting rid of Donnah, that she had to die; he even tried to recruit her for the deed. You see, darlings, Donnah had become expendable to Mark; not being able to produce children, she was of no use to him, anymore.  Now, most scumbags at this point would just divorce quietly, walk away, and start a new life, but OH NO, not this prick!!!!!!!!  Divorce would violate his perfect image!!!!!!!!!  Much easier to commit murder, than to divorce; he's smart, he can get away with it!  Or so he thinks!

Three months before the murder, the Wingers adopted a baby girl!   This was back in 1995.  Shortly after, Donnah took a trip to visit her family in Florida. When she came back to Springfield, she was driven home by one Roger Harrington, a car service driver, with a history of mental problems, whose behavior to Donnah, during the ride, was anything but professional.  Not to mention driving dangerously.

From the moment he heard about Roger, Mark saw his opportunity, and took advantage of it.  He had Donnah write out an account of her experience, leaving it on the refrigerator door.  He made it known that Harrington was harassing his family.  On the afternoon of August 23, 1995, Mark invited Roger over to talk over issues.  For seven years after, what everyone thought had gone down was Roger threatening Mark, Donnah coming out from a bedroom to see what was going on and being bludgeoned with a hammer by Harrington, and then Mark shooting the psycho in self defense.  For a long time, Mark was regarded as a hero--which was exactly what he planned!!!!!!!!!!!!

Years later, Mark was involved in some kind of lawsuit.  The opposition got a trip off from De Ann Schultz.  "Do not settle with Mark Winger," she said.  Investigators looked anew at the evidence--and concluded Roger and Donnah were both victims of Mark!  Who, in the meantime, not to bother with grief, had moved on, marrying a nanny, Rebecca Handly, he had initially hired to take care of his adopted daughter , and with whom he had three natural children.  If Rebecca was smart, after Mark was arrested, and then convicted and sent up for Life, in 2002, she divorced him!  I hope so!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

But Mark is so arrogant he couldn't even behave, once in prison!!!!!!!!!!!!!  In 2006, he tried to arrange a hit to murder De Ann Schultz and childhood friend, Jeffrey Gelman, for his perceived betrayals of him by them. When this was found out, an additional 35 years was tacked on to Mark's Life sentence.  He ain't going nowhere, fast!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

You have to wonder about these crazy spouses--both male and female, there seem to be a few out there--who opt for murder, over divorce!!!!!!!!!!  It never seems to work out, and yet these sickos just keep on trying.

When I heard the story of Mark Winger, I knew I had found the perfect Bitch Of The Week!!!!!!!!!!!!  He may have been an officer, but he was no gentleman, darlings!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

But it gives Debra plenty to draw on, as an actress!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
