Good News, From The Rialto, Darlings!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

                                   Ever since September 5, when the curtain went up on the first, preview performance, the talk of the Theater Community, has been the deservedly lauded revival of "The Glass Menagerie."  Originally to run until January 4, folks were scrambling, mortgaging property....ANYTHING, to get a ticket to the Theater Event Of The Season.

                                      Well now, dolls, you can relax, a little!  The production's run has been extended, until February 23, 2014.  So, those scrambling now have a greater chance of seeing Cherry, Celia And Company, and had better make good use of this opportunity, while it lasts!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

                                          I figured it was inevitable.  And it certainly does merit extending   Now, you can see what I have been talking about; never mind Ben Brantley, darlings, and forget Rex Reed.  Remember, the one who blows everyone else off the stage (though they are excellent) is Celia Keenan-Bolger as Laura.  Look how carefully she is placed, down center, in this photo.  For the time she is onstage, the eye is on
Celia/Laura, so come see the special magic this gifted actress brings to a very difficult role.

                                           You can bet, were Amanda a real person, she would be pleased as punch at how this show has turned out.  So be sure to pay she and all the Wingfields a visit! And soon!
