The Nightmare Of Apartment Repair!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

                                  David and I live in a beautiful apartment, in a lovely building, but, since January, strange things have been happening.  And I don't mean, like in "Rosemary's Baby," I wish.

                                    Early in the year, May, we learned that tenants on the other side were having their gas pipe lines replaced in their kitchen.  Fine.  But it took over four months, no schedule, organization, or word about when anyone was coming to do work.

                                     We were just asked to hand over our keys!  No way, darlings!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

                                       In June, it was announced that our side would start repairs on the 21st.  Well, let me tell you, it took almost two months to get to our place, and, instead of being organized, and doing it all in one, even two, visits, it is stretched out to four!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

                                       And we have no idea when that will be!

                                       As David rightly says, the worst work is done!  But the hole in the wall is covered over with nothing but cardboard, and I am telling you, each night, as I snuggle next to David in bed, I am terrified that something--THEM, the Lepus, rats, alligators, even mice, are going to chew through this, and pay us a visit!   Are we to be tortured and killed??????????????????

                                       It is nice having this done for you.  Lord knows neither of us could.

                                        But why can't it be done in a more timely manner???????????????????
