It Was A Middle Eastern Fourth Of July, Girls!!!!!!!!!!!!

This is the second time we have been to Tanoreen, which is not far from our apartment, in Bay Ridge.  Monsieur and I just loved it the first time, when we took Auntie Alvin there for his birthday.  Yesterday, we entertained his friend Aviv, who came from Manhattan, and what a feast we had.

Starting  with this lamb and rice appetizer, which was scrumptious, we worked our way through that, hummus,  and Brussels sprout salad, saturated in some kind of sauce it had not been with  before,  when last we had it. The dish was not ruined, but we all could have done without the sauce.

Aviv's beef and stew looked tasty, my chicken kabob was also, as well as being the lightest in texture and taste of this kind of dish I have ever had, while the salad my Monsieur had was light and filling.  After so much food, we could not handle desert; though I had coffee.  This place scores twice in a row; you know what they say, darlings--three's the charm!!!!!!!!

Afterward, we walked through the neighborhood, down the famous 76th Street steps, and along the water.  We came up by the 92nd Street overpass, where we saw the cruisiest area you can imagine.  But, the weather being so hot, everyone, I am sure, was on their computers--trolling online, as the saying goes.  However, as we walked along Shore Road, there was a bearded itinerant trying to snap up Monsieur, making nice about his Mister Bubble T-Shirt!
Mister Bubble, indeed!!!!!!!!!!

We ended up on one of the Avenues--where we went to this bakery place for desert.  I had an iced coffee, Monsieur and I shared a banana wafer cream pudding, and Aviv had orange juice and the most delicate looking chocolate mousse mini cake!!!!!!!!  I felt like a mini cake myself, girls!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Afterwards, we walked Aviv to the subway at 86th Street, which she boarded, and before you knew it, we were back inside, where we did not see any fireworks, but we sure heard them!!!!!!!!!!!!

A fitting end to celebrating our nation's 236th Birthday!!!!!!!!!!!!
