"Father, Why Do These Words Sound So Nasty????????????????"

                        The words today are not so much nasty, girls, as SAD.  Three Theater Icons depart in one day!  The remaining one, pictured, in the background, is Steve Curry, who sung the words headlined above during the song "Sodomy," when he played Woof in the original production of "HAIR," back in 1968.  He also married for a time, Shelley Plimpton, pictured.  No, he is not Martha's father, but Shelley was, is, and always will be the "Frank Mills" girl.

                          Did you know he was a child performer on the Broadway stage, prior to "HAIR?" That he was in the original productions of "Gypsy" (as one of the Newsboys) in 1959, and in "Camelot," in 1960.  He and Shelley made their film., "Glen and Randa," and then he kind of disappeared.

                           He died on September 13, at age 68, of sepsis. He was married, at the time, to a woman named Susan. He had two sons with her, having been married for 28 years, and a daughter, Catherine, by actress Susan Anspach.  He also has three grandchildren.

                                 Now, get this!  Everyone knows the iconic poster above!  Anyone who owned, and still owns the Cast Recording of "HAIR," even on CD, knows this image.  I thought the model for it was either some unknown, or maybe Lamont Washington.  But it actually was Steve Curry, who did have as bushy an Afro as a white boy could have, back then!  He never got a cent for this!  Too bad he didn't talk to the "Chorus Line" people!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

                                   But, three theater deaths in one day is three too may!  Guess I will listen

to "HAIR" tonight!   As will all his fellow cast members.
