Darlings, Remember When Steve And Eydie Sanitized Sex For Christmas????????????????

"I know what's running through your mind.
This is the season to be kind."
---"That Holiday Feeling," Steve Lawrence and
                                                               Eydie Gorme

Darlings, those fun loving kids, Steve and Eydie, first recorded this song, on the album seen above, back in 1964. To think, next year will mark 50 years!  And Steve is still here!  Sadly, we lost Eydie earlier this year!

But, not since the days of Doris Day and Rock Hudson, with "Pillow Talk," has a couple sanitized sex so much--and for Christmas, yet!!!!--with "That Holiday Feeling."  This is a charming, but never raunchy or risque duet, in which Eydie lists all the attributes of the upcoming Holiday Season, while Steve seductively croons, that, no matter what, he wants to spend the whole thing snuggled by the fire, with Eydie!!!!!!!!!!

As do any of us, who would like to snuggle, with their Special Someone!!!!!!!!!!!

I did not have this particular album, growing up, but it was on another album of Christmas songs we had, and, whenever it played, I always stopped to listen to it.  Steve and Eydie's delivery was just too warm and infectious not to listen to, and it gave an added spin to the Holidays, which I came to appreciate more, especially as I grew older!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I know who I want to snuggle with, girls!!!!!!!!  Do you???????????

And for those who have never heard this underrated classic, or wish to, again,
here it is, loves!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
