Good News For Blythe Danner Fans!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

For months now, I have been hearing rumors of a certain film shown at various festivals that could be a career breaker for Blythe Danner; one in which she carries the film as the lead, and could result in either and Oscar nomination, or the Oscar itself.

That film, due to open May 15 is "I'll See You In My Dreams."  It is about a woman who suffers loss, depression, but comes back from it, and it has an interesting cast, including Rhea Perlman and Mary Kay Place!!!!!!!!!!

I have seen a trailer for it, (and will try and include it here!) but I am telling you, this is the film to see this spring. Blythe has been working all her life; since the late Sixties on, and, save for the TONY she received back then for "Butterflies Are Free," has received nothing else, despite fine work in such films as "The Great Santini," "The Prince Of Tides," and "Mr,. and Mrs. Bridge."

Having been fortunate enough to see Blythe on stage numerous times, I relish the opportunities others will have to see this often overlooked actress in action, via this film.  You can bet I will be on hand, possibly opening day!

But, it's a Blythe Danner movie!!!!!!!!!!!  My God, what do I wear?????????

Looking forward to this: hope it gets Blythe some of the overdue attention she's quietly earned over the decades.

I'm finding the increasingly dopey antics of her brain-damaged, repellant offspring harder and harder to reconcile with having Blythe as a mother. Danner is such a graceful, class act, while the daughter... not so much.

Gwyneth's latest obnoxious endeavor has her buying out Larry Flynt's interest in his Hustler Store location in West Hollywood, so she can replace it with an uber-exclusive nightclub/restaurant that requires patrons pay membership and annual subscription fees (thou$and$).

What an elitist twit she's become in middle age (yes, Gwynnie- your moment is PASSING, and no amount of chic investments will revive it).

The only way to tolerate the existence of Gwyneth is to assume 90% of her apparent genetic damage came courtesy of her father. Blythe Danner could not possibly be responsible for this bitch.

No, I think Gwyneth is more her fatheer's daughter, though she looks like Blythe. Bruce Paltrow was a Great Neck, Long Island kid, who had the good fortune to marry into class. The daughter inherited the looks--sort of--but NOT the class!

Breeding tells. Blythe, in her 70s, is having a career Renaissance, while Gwyneth, in her 40's, is pretty much forgotten!
