                              What would Labor Day be, without "Picnic?"

                               How I miss ABC showing the 1955   movie classic on Saturdays, late at night!  That was a Labor day staple, for years!  That cast--William Holden, Kim Novak, Rosalind Russell, Betty Field, Arthur O'Connell, and Susan Strasberg!  Not to mention Rosalind Russell and Elizabeth Wilson!!!!!!!!!!

                                And who could forget that dress Kim wore, which  we all wanted to wear, darlings?????????  And the dance scene, set to "Moonglow??????????"

                                Yes, it was a simpler, more  innocent time!!!!!!!!!!!!  And I think of it every year, at this time!
