                                   For clarity, and simplicity, you cannot beat "The First Noel."  This one is a favorite, because it can be performed in a variety of ways--straightforward, or full out dramatic, like Jennifer Jones, as Bernadette.  You know which style I favor, when I do it, darlings!!!!!!!!!!!

                                   But, really, it is one of the most beautiful and moving carols.  Which is why it belongs in what I call "the big guns."  So many people have covered it, how does one choose?
